U-10 Tournament Rules

6 players per team – 10 overs

·         Overthrows are allowed

·         Boundaries can only be scored by hitting the ball towards the front net

a.     6 runs awarded for a direct hit

b.     4 runs awarded for a rolling hit

·         No runs are awarded for direct hits towards side nets

a.     Singles can be taken

·         Singles are always allowed

·         Tournament will be played using a tape ball

·         Full toss catch outs only

·         Maximum of 2 overs per bowler allowed

·         Batsmen can be retired during the game. The retired batsman can return to the pitch if their team is all out

·         Reserve players on team roster can only replaced but not interchanged during the game  unless there is an unforeseen circumstance (example: injury, emergencies)

·         1 run awarded for wide balls and no balls

·         Last man allowed to bat

·         If a game is tied, super overs will be played. Each team will play 1 over and the highest scorer will win. The super overs continue until one team scores more than the opposing team

·         No show by a team constitutes automatic forfeiture and other team gets full points

·         Each winning team is awarded 5 points per match

·          2.5 points awarded if both teams are not present

·         15 mins of grace time is given for each game. Delays will constitute forfeiture

·         Umpire’s decision is final

·         Any disagreements will be reviewed by management on a case-by-case basis
